Polite bears
Cardinal Newman-http://www.tcdsb.org/cardinalnewman/
The website is poorly designed. when arriving at the website you are taken to a page with almost no information on it and only a religious picture. There are no tabs or a menu on the first page making it difficult to navigate. To get to a page with information on it you have to go through a photo page and a news page. Overall rating is a 4.
Chaminade-http://www.chaminade-hs.org/index.jsp
This website is designed well. The home page is the first page, organized with a menu bar, and with recent news. Some aspects can be better like the visual display and having more important features to be easily accessible like the calendar. Overall rating is a 7.
Bayfield (New Zealand)-http://www.bayfield-high.school.nz/
This website from new zealand is well designed because of its organziation, focus on important aspects, and visual appeal. There can be some improvements like the location of some elements on the page. Overall rating is a 6.78896.
Nottingham (England)-http://www.nottinghamhigh.co.uk/
British website that is very well designed. Organzied, visually appealing, good promoter of school and up to date. I wish our school website was this awesome. Overall rating is 9..maybe 10.
Little Rock Central High School (USA)-http://www.lrcentralhigh.org/
This website is pretty ugly, no offense. The tabs dont make sense to someone from the outisde and everything is all over the place. It also looks like there are ads on the website. Overall rating is 3.

One of the only things i learned in grade 9 com-tech was “keep-it-simple-stupid”. I took that into account with choosing a theme. When designing a website or a blog you want something simple, efficient, and appealing. Websites that are hard to look at make me want to leave the site as soon as possible. I always told myself, if i make a website,it will be simple but effective. Tumblr is the first step.
